EOS — Ryland Operating System
Run the week, track the quarter, keep the foundation honest — nothing lives outside the app.
EOS Rollout Roadmap
A guide, not a tracker. This is the order to bring EOS to life — build the foundation, then let the weekly rhythm keep it running. Nothing on this page is live data; it points you to the sections where the real work happens.
Foundation — Vision & People
EOS only works if the foundation goes in first. Decide where we're going and what we value (the V/TO — the plan on a page), then name the seats and who owns each one (the Accountability Chart). One seat, one owner.
Weekly rhythm — Data, Issues & Meetings
The heartbeat. A handful of numbers entered daily/weekly on the Scorecard so nobody flies blind, a running Issues list worked one at a time, and the L10 — the same 90-minute meeting, same day every week — that keeps every piece alive. To-dos from the meeting land on each person's plate automatically.
Quarterly — Rocks & People
Set the 3-7 most important priorities for the next 90 days — each a big outcome with one owner and a clear picture of 'done.' Once a quarter, run the People Analyzer to check the right people are in the right seats (core values + Get it / Want it / Capacity).
Nothing lives outside the app
A priority is a Rock. A number is on the Scorecard. A problem is an Issue with one owner. An action is a To-Do with an owner and a date. Someone says 'I'll handle it'? It becomes a To-Do before the conversation ends. Processes are written down and followed by all.
When in doubt: open My Week and do item #1. When setting up: do the next phase above, in order. Adapted from the Ryland EOS training walkthrough.
